Yuening Du is a multidisciplinary designer and artist based in London, currently studying at the Royal College of Art. With a background in stage design, her practice moves across sculpture, moving image, installation, performance, photography and spatial design to explore how bodies, images and environments shape one another.
Working between physical and virtual space, she constructs scenographic narratives that examine visibility, identity and the ways individuals are positioned within cultural and social structures. Through symbolic spatial compositions, moving image and performative elements, her work investigates the relationship between media, power and perception.
Alongside her artistic practice, Yuening has worked across curation, immersive experience design and interdisciplinary collaboration. Her experience includes curatorial work for the graduation exhibition of the Affiliated High School of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, visual design for the 7th AUFF Asian University Film Festival, and research and mediation work for Beijing Contemporary Art Expo. In 2022, she collaborated on an online-offline cultural tourism project focused on character-based storytelling, village spaces and interactive narrative experiences. In 2026, she participated in MAP/making, expanding her research through collaborations across music, art and performance.
